Version History - Quick ePics:
Version 3.4.1 BETA
- Over 75 New Image Editing Options for Captions and Watermarks.
- New Font Effects Dialog.
- New Captions and Watermarks Catalog.
Version 3.4.0.2
- Added new dialog for selecting images to email.
Version 3.4.0.1
- Bug Fixes:
- Fixed bug in v3.4.0 that was intermittently cutting off the bottom and
right line borders. (This bug only effected the displayed image,
it did not effect the actual output image saved to file.)
- Fixed bug in v3.4.0 that was causing an image error when manually resizing images
with borders larger than 10 pixels. (This bug only occurred for images
resized with the red-drag-handles.)
Version 3.4.0.
- New options added for Line Borders, Borders, Drop Shadows, and Outer Glow.
- Batches with thumbnails now execute up to 25% faster.
- Many help pages have been reorganized.
Version 3.3.9.1.
- Bug Fix: A change made in v3.3.9, introduced a bug in the file Save dialog.
The bug causes the filename textbox to be cleared, whenever the output folder
is manually changed. This is obviously very inconvenient, since the output
filename must be manually re-entered, before the image can be saved.
Steps to reproduce this bug:
- Open a batch containing one or more images.
- Select SaveImageAs from the File menu. (This opens the SaveImageAs dialog, and
displays the default output filename in the filename textbox.)
- Change the output folder by clicking one of the shortcut buttons.
- Notice that the default filename is cleared as soon as the folder changes. This
is not suppose to happen.
This is a very important bug fix, and all users are encouraged to upgrade.
Version 3.3.9.
- Added a drive list shortcut to the open-batch and save-file dialogs.
Version 3.3.8.
- Fixed problem that was preventing application startup on some Dell Win7x64 laptops.
Version 3.3.7.
- Streamlined the installation procedures for Windows Vista and Windows 7.
- Added additional sort options and a new preview window to the Batch Open dialog.
Version 3.3.6.

- New Color-Coded Crop Indicator: (To indicate if and where the image is cropped.)
Version 3.3.5.1
- Bug Fix: The v3.3.5 crop-handles improvement (see v3.3.5 description below), caused a bug which prevents access to the upper right resizing-handle in auto-crop mode. This bug is now corrected.
Version 3.3.5.
- Quick ePics is now Vista Compatible without virtualization or compatibility modes.
- Manual-Mode cropping can now be performed by dragging anywhere along the
edges of the image. This makes it much easier to crop large images.
(Previously, manual-mode cropping could only be performed using the blue drag handles.)
Version 3.3.0.
- New file renaming option. You can now have space characters in filenames
automatically converted to underscore characters.
- Additional '.bat' file support.
Version 3.2.4.
- Enabled GIF image format support. (The UniSys domestic and international
patents on the LZW compression algorithm expired. So GIF format support no longer
requires royalty payments to UniSys.)
- Zoom level options (ActualSize, BestFit and ShrinkToFit) were added to the OpenBatch Preview dialog.
Version 3.2.3.
- This version fixes a bug in the Send eMail command. This bug may cause the
following message to be displayed when you execute Send eMail.
"Could not Create Email Message.
Unspecified MAPI failure has occurred."
Note: The bug does not effect all email programs, so you only need to upgrade if
you are receiving this message.
Version 3.2.2.
- Email JPEG images directly from Quick ePics. (Big time saver! No more fiddling with your email editor's
"Insert" picture command.)
- Copy or Drag output files for Auto FTP Upload. (Another big time saver!)
- Copy Output Filenames to Clipboard. (Useful with HTML)
- Paste or drop images, files, or folders, to new or existing batches. (i.e. Exchange images and files with other
applications.)
- New Percentage Resizing option. (Ok, this was long over due.)
- Option to automatically close the progress dialog after batch executions.
- New Open Folder Menu and toolbar button. (Handy.)
- New shortcut keys for "Peek" (F6) and "Peek All" (F5). (Dramatically reduces mouse movement and
clicking.)
- New shortcut keys for navigating the batch.
- New "Set for General Purpose" and "Reset for General Purpose" options.
- New output folder options. (You can now create an output sub-folder in either the Input or Specify folders.)
- Many new mouse and keyboard shortcuts.
- The shortcuts-list is now hyper-linked to provide point-and-shoot Command Help.
- New output-folder over-write method.
- New image Resizing help page. (Why Shape Matters.)

saving them.)
