Instructions for Vista and Later - Quick ePics:
Download and Install | Register | Remove | Upgrade | Troubleshooting
Download and Installation Instructions:
- Click the "Download Now!" button on the
Quick ePics Download page.
(This displays the "File Download - Security Warning" dialog shown below.)
- Click the "Save" button. (This opens the "Save As" dialog shown below.)
- Click "Desktop" (under the Favorite Links shown above) to open the Desktop folder,
then click the "Save" button.
(This begins the file download and opens the Download Progress dialog shown below.)
(Note 1: You can save the setup file to any folder on your hard drive, but saving to the Desktop is
usually the easiest. Note 2: If for some reason the download fails, simply repeat the steps described above.)
- When the download completes, the following is displayed.
- Click the "Run" button. (This displays the following "Internet
Explorer - Security Warning".)
- Again click the "Run" button. (If you're using Windows Vista with
User Account Control enabled, then the following additional warning message is displayed.)
- Click "Allow". (This finally starts the Setup Wizard, which performs
the Installation {see next image below}.)
(Note: You can also Manually start the Setup Wizard, by
double clicking the downloaded setup file "quickepics_setup.exe", using
Windows Explorer.)
- Follow the Setup Wizard's on screen instructions to complete installation. (When
setup is complete, start the application the first time as described below.)
Software-License Registration Instructions:
Once Quick ePics is installed, you need to register your software-license using the following steps:
(Registration fully unlocks the software, allowing use beyond the 30 day trial period. Once
your license is registered, it never expires.)
- After purchase, you will receive a registration email containing a software license similar to the one shown below.

- Start Quick ePics by double clicking its Desktop Shortcut (shown below). (This displays the
"Evaluation Notice" dialog. Note: If Quick ePics starts without first displaying
the "Evaluation Notice" dialog, then the your license is already registered on your
computer.)

(This dialog is not displayed if the application is already registered.)

- Click the "How To Register..." button. (This opens the Register Now dialog shown below.)
- Enter your registration codes *exactly* as they appear in your registration email. To avoid data entry
errors, it's best to copy/paste the codes from your registration email
directly into the Register Now dialog.
(The registration email contains four codes, they are: Reg. Name,
Reg. Email, Reg. Date, Reg. Number. These codes form a matched set.)
- Click the "Ok" button to save your entries and to complete the registration process.
Notes:
- Once you register Quick ePics on your computer, your registration never
expires. You can install updates without re-registering.
- Keep your registration codes in a safe place. If your hard drive crashes
and you reinstall Windows, then you may have to re-install and re-register
Quick ePics.
- If you loose your codes, you can use the Mission Peak "Replace Lost Codes"
page to get replacements.
Removal Instructions:
- Close all programs.
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Click the "Uninstall a Program" option. (This displays a list of programs installed on your computer.)
- Select Quick ePics from the program list, then click the Uninstall icon
displayed above the top of the list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the application.
Upgrade Instructions:
- You must un-install your Old version of Quick ePics, before you can upgrade to a Newer version.
(See Application Removal instructions above.)
- After your old version is removed, follow the instructions given above to download and install the latest version of Quick ePics.
Upgrade Notes:
- If you do not remove the old version of Quick ePics prior to installing the new one, the Setup Wizard will prompt you to "Repair" or "Remove" the current version. If this happens, select the Remove option and follow the on screen instructions. Once the application is removed, you must manually restart the Setup Wizard to install the new version. (To manually restart the Setup Wizard, double click the setup file (QuickePics_setup.exe), using Windows Explorer.
